(Eton and Oxford ), Good fast and slow bowler ; very fairb a t. DURY, T. S. (Harrow and Oxford ). Very unfortunate that business prevents this gentleman from assisting his county more frequently ; a fine free bat , and the most active field for his weight in England . FORBES , W. F. (Eton ). One of the best all -round amateurs of the day, being a very fine bat, a splendid field , and a fair change bowler (fast round- arm). FRANK, J. Good right -hand fast bowler , and fair left -hand bat . GRAY, A. Very successful for Yorkshire Gentlemen with his slow round -arm bowling ; delivers from a great height , and at times gets considerable b r e a ko n. GRAY, E. Brilliant but uncertain bat ; fine field . HAWKE, Hon. M. B. (Eton ). Good bat generally , getting double figures . LANDON, C. W. Fast bowler at times very effective ; can hit well , but want- ing indefence . RILEY, M. A fast bowler ; a good bat with plenty of hit . LEATHAM, G. A. B. (Uppingham). One of the best amateur wicket -keepers in England; at times get runs , but uncertain . MOSLEY, A. Probably the fastest bowler in England ; can send up a very good yorker. RHODES, H. E. Goodbat. ROPER, E. (Clifton ). and capital field . Good man all round ; free hitter ; fair change bowler SIMS , H. M.(Cambridge University ). A fine cricketer , being a dangerous bat , a fast bowler, at times effective , and a good field . WOOD, J. R. Very reliable bat , and goed long -stop . HIRST, E. (Oxford ), and WOOD, H. (Cambridge ). Play for Yorkshire .
