Druitt : a useful bowler and field ; a peculiar bat, but can some- times get runs . J. W. Ewing : a good bat, with fine hitting powers and fair de- fence ; not an active field . A. W. Sanders : a fair bat, but too anxious to hit ; uncertain in the field . G. E. Turner : a very much improved bat since last season ; fair change bowler . A. J. Sharood : fell off both as a bat and as a bowler since the previous season . P. C. Parr : a fast bowler , bowling many successful ' yorkers ' ; a hard -hitting bat and excellent field anywhere . C. M. Smith: bowls very fair slows ; frequently gets runs when they are most wanted . W. E. Dunsford : a very steady painstaking bat , but never justified
