Tlle best average of the season was that of Dennis, who played twenty innings fm' an average of 17 uns. ‘Vclls was unfortunately unable to play iii any but four matches, in which his averages wcrc unusually large. The bowling of Reltoii (Captain) shows the best average, although Venn comes very close. F. Pooley was cngagctl as professional this year, and to his carom] coaching the general all-round improvement was due.
