T yl KCOTE, E. F. S. (Clifton and Oxford). A good bat, and very sure wicket keeper; has represented the Gentlemen against the Players at the Oval for many years, though unable to play last season. T ylkcote , C/B. L. (Clifton and Oxford). A very destructive fast bowler, with low delivery; a very fair bat. . , H iggins , W. F. (Harrow and Oxford). A very useful bat, playing in good style; a fair change bowler. V ysk , W. A good bat, though somewhat uncertain; is a useful wicket keeper. S ti L eman , G ibbard L. (Cambridge). A very promising bowler and bat, and is greatly improving all round. S tedman , R ev . H. P. (Cambridge). A useful man all round; is a brilliant held. H ill , J. (Eton). A useful change bowler, a hard hitter, in fine form, but over anxious to make runs. S afford , F. (Rugby). A fine but rather uncertain bat., B urnett , C. A useful bowler, and a good bat, but slow in the held. C ecil , A. C. A brilliant bat, plays in excellent form; is a hne held. CAMBRIDGESHIRE. F ryer , F. E. R. (Harrow and Cambridge). A very good bat, with hne com­ manding style; bowls slow-round, and at times with great success. CHESHIRE. T ownsiiend , W. (Rossall and Oxford). A very hne bat, and first-rate as long-stop. . . . . . _ DERBYSHIRE. ..... C urgenven , W. G. A brilliant bat, hitting well all round; and on a lively wicket a fast run getter; a good held at long-leg and cover-point. H umble , W. J. A good bat as well as a safe held, and is a valuable all­ round cricketer. • R ichardson , S. A good bat, cuts well. S mith , R. P. A useful man to his County, being a very good bat, and a hne out held; occasionally bowled lobs. S huker , A . (St. John’s, Cambridge). An excellent bat, and good held, likely to be of great use to the County. • S mith , J. A very good bat, having a very strong defence; good change bowler, and fair held.
