S. E . 'pones, a quick run getter, but wants defence; good fast bowler, and safe field. F. L. Evelyn, a showy and effective bat, with stronger defence would be very g o o d ; cap ita l field. C. F. IT. Leslie, good steady bat with hitting powers, generally makes runs, and, as he has a long time before him, ought to be o f g rea t service to the school, good field at point, and fair change bowler {medium). F. W. Capron, a hard hitter, and improving in defence; good long stop . T. A . Stokes, free hitting bat, but tries to get runs too qui fair field. A . J . Bailey, fine bat, with excellent cutting powers, with coach­ ing would make a good b a t ; fair field, and change bowler. F. D. Gaddum, improving bat: should made a good bowler; but wants more command over th e ball (slow left hand); fields his bowling well. B. Fitzgerald,^ cramped in style, wants confidence and freedom to make a good bat; fair field, h . Brierley, wants practice against slow bowling, which maybe said of almost all th e eleven ; moderate field. C. A . S.
