Growse (Captain), a fair bat, and a useful bowler, coming off particularly well at the beginning of the season^ as a captain has not been successful. W. T. B. H a y ter, a very hard hitter, but has been unlucky throughout the season ; a good long-stop, and a safe catch. E . L . Colebrooke, far the best bat in the eleven, having a splendid defence, and very good form a fair field ; winner of the batting average cup. O. Evan-Thomas, a good bat, but a little care less, and rather too anxious to make runs ; a very good field at point ; ought to be of the greatest use next year. E . G. Colvin, a good bat, with free style, but has somewhat fallen off from his last year’s form ; a good field as a rule. H . Somers-Cocks, a most careful and painstaking bat, and thoroughly good field, though rather slow and small. St. Evan-Thomas, a fair bat, but does not use his wrists enough ; a very useful fast bowler, bowling particularly well towards the end of the season.' J . Wakefield, a good bowler, and very good field at cover point; an improving b a t ; has unfortunately been unable to play the latter part of the season. J . F. M. Prinsep, an uncertain bat, with free style and good hitting powers ; a capital field when he likes, and sometimes bowls very .fairly. H. W. Devenish, a fair slow bowler, some times proving very useful; a fair bat, but a poor field. E . M. Williams, a fair bat, and a good field. * • • . CHELTENHAM COLLEGE. Captain, M. J. E. Morris.
