Educated at the Clergy Orphan Schocl, Canterbury, and a prominent member of Cambridge University. Was captain of the Cambridge University Long Vacation Club. T hornhill , F rederick (Derbyshire).—Was killed on July 22nd by a train, while walking un the line after a match ; a good cricketer, and bade fair to be a useful county player. \\ ynch , C. G.—Died at the end of May, in his forty-third year ; was once captain of the liugby School Eleven, and in his time a magnificent bat, especially at leg-hitting, and a line field.
