A medium-pace bowler wTith higli delivery ; bard bitter. Bowled very well and successfully for his County. S mith , A. F. (Wellington and Cambridge). Very fine field, and at times bats brilliantly. S now , A. I i. P. A good medium left-hand bowler, varies his pitch and pace. Lui vs, C. J. (Harrow). Capital field, and only wants practice to become a very fine batsman. T iiounton , C. I. (Eton and Cambridge). Still the hardest hitter in England, but not so certain as formerly, is apt to be lazy in the field ; plays for Middlesex by residence. W ebbe , II. It. (Winchester and Oxford). A very fair bat and field, and p l.yed some very good innings tow ards tbe end of tbe season. W e i) be , A. J. (Oxford). Played for Middlesex. NORTHAMPTONSHIRE. G illett , Rev. II. H. (Oxford University). A fine free bitter, and bowTls fast round, occasionally with great success. NOTTINGHAMSHIRE. B eevor , J. G. (Uppingham). Has scored well in previous years for bis County ; a fine hitter, and good all-round cricketer. R iddell , E. Id. H. (Uppingham). A steady medium-pace round-arm bowler. A fair bat. T olley , It. Played several times for the County and showed good cricket, being a very patient bat and a sure field. W right , T.
