Noryuan, scarcely oamo np to the expectations formed of him, but nevertheless a useful man at times; wants some practice in fielding. T. IF. Woodgate, a very fair bat ; strong on the off side, but very nervous about a ball on his legs ; always gets runs off medium-pace bowling; bad runner between wickets; can if he chooses field well. T. (7. Ridley, greatly improved in hatting; hits hard, but does not make the most of his height; very good change bowler; moderate catch and field. (7. C. Baton, a very steady little bat, with good defence, but too feeble in h itting; usually keeps wicket remarkably well, but is sometimes careless; a capital field; ought next season to make a first-rate cricketer.
