Hornby (captain), as good as over in the field, and still keeps up the highest batting average ; has been captain for threo years, and his loss will be severely felt. E. M. Bristowe , a good bat when once set, much improved since last year ; uncertain in the field ; also bowls. *S. G. Harding, one of the most useful men in the eleven, being good all round, though not quite so successful in bowling as last year. E. Paoker , a very fair field, and has on occasions bowled well; too stiff with tho bat. * j R. S . Apthoi'p could generally play round-hand bowling fairly, but the victim of a lob. Very, very slow in the field. E. Haven, a useful bat, and generally got runs; if he were stronger, and could punish looso bowling more, would be dangerous ; much improved as a lield, where ho worked hard, and threw in well. *W. W. Williams, played with a straight bat, but could not look at a lob : fond of the game, but a very slack and uncertain field. II. R. Bagot , a promising little bat, with plenty of confi dence, and played straight; but should learn to play back more, and not try to hit so much; uncertain in tho field. F. B. Taylor, ought to make a good lob bowler with practice; very wooden as a bat, though with his height ought to kill any bowling; a very fair field. REPTON SCHOOL. Captain, A. F. J. Ford.
