ENTERPRISE has been so long identified with the nameof Prince , in one branch of sport , that the new venture in the way of cricket grounds, under their charge , was generally forestalled as a success . In spite , too , of other spots devoted to cricket , invested with historic associations of years , Prince's has in two years showed itself equal to the task of taking care of itself , and proved a rival of very important pretensions . A disposition to accommodate the public , to provide matches that are sure to entice , as well as a general arrangement of matters certain to prove palatable to the great sixpenny mass of spectators- such are the special features of the annual programme at Prince's , and such are the most likely points to attract the many for w h o mclubs that have to cater , in the way of cricket , have chiefly to provide . Of the principal contests full details will be found in the following notes . P R I N C E ' SC L U BA N DG R O U N D . R e s u l t so f M a t c h e s .
