Twocatches , at least , were missed whenthe score was a tie , and the last Marylebone wicket was in. The excitement was piled up beyond doubtwhenthe second catch was sent by Clayton straight to Mr. G. F. Grace at long -on, but the ball was dropped strangely enough by a fieldsman who is rarely known to miss a catch . Still , Mr. Grace proved himself a very valuable ally to the Club to which he belongs , as he played a splendid second innings of 60runs , and at the end nearly wona gamely fought match for the Surrey Club byhis almost irresistible bowling .
