E. Neild (Captain ), hard hitting powers, but ought to study defence ; bowled very well indeed during the season ; and, at times, took wicket well. * F. S. Raikes , improved wonderfully in batting during the season ; bowls slow round-arm with a puzzling break ; fields well at point . * F. B. Briggs , a very fine bat, combining capital defence with hard hitting powers; makes his runs in good style , and quickly ; wonthe average bat ; a first- class field at long leg . W. G. Michell , bats well, but is too fond of hitting straight balls to square leg ; this practice proved fatal to him several times during the season ; throws ball well up to wicket . * E. Pinkey , a very steady bat, but too fond of forward play ; good field , might be a little faster in returning the ball. R. B. Stewart makeshis runs fast andwell w h e noncestarted , butuncertain at times ; very good change bowler , and splendid field at cover -point . * W. J. Holland, steady player , promising bat, very good field . *S. S. Parkyn , fair bat , hits well to leg ; most useful at long-leg, on account of his running and throwing power. * G. W. Harrison cuts well , and useful as change bowler . E. C. H. Price bats in good style , and useful in field as long-stop . * P. Gray, a fair bat ; might b em o r eactive in field. 12 * Signifies has left . R A D L E Y C O L L E G E . H. Blackett , Captain . R e s u l t so f M a t c h e s.
