Heathcote , an energetic Captain ; at the -wicket fully maintained his reputation ; fell off in batting . F. B. Blogg, a very steady bat , and safe field . J. H. Bridges , Captain for 1874; an uncertain bat but brilliant field . H. Leney , a very plucky bowler , and a very good bat. J. R. Forman, a first -rate little cricketer . W. A. S. Merewether , not so successful as last year ; good long -stop ; Secretary for 1874. W. H. Game, Treasurer for 1874 (vide University Eleven). J. E. Lloyd, a very useful college bat, with a style peculiarly his own; a hawk-eyed point . H. M. Walter has never main- tained his school reputation , but occasionally did good service as a bowler : no bat. F. W.
