Khalid Irtiza's 201 took 308 balls in 341 minutes and included 23 fours and 1 six. Nasir Valika's 120 took 280 minutes and included 11 fours. The 297 added by Khalid Irtaza and Nasir Valika was a record for the 5th wicket in first-class cricket in Pakistan (previously 234* by J.M.Brearley and J.A.Ormrod for MCC Under-25s v North Zone at Peshawar in 1966/67). See also page 110. Sind B were originally due to contest this first-round match, with Sind A receiving a bye into the quarter-finals, but the two Sind teams agreed to swap places, presumably because the winners of this game were due to get a bye into the semi-final (making this a quarter-final in all but name). 48 Pakistan in 1975/76
