First-Class Matches India 2003/04 and 2004/05

Preface This is the second volume in a new ACS series that aims to plug the gaps in the printed record of the first-class game. The series will provide scorecards of matches that have not appeared in Wisden , an overseas national annual, or some other recognized source of match scores in book form. In the case of India, the most substantial hiatus falls between the 57th and final edition of the Indian Cricket annual, which was dated 2004 and covered the 2002/03 season, and the publication of all overseas first-class scores by the ACS with effect from the 2007/08 season. This means that four Indian seasons are missing, namely 2003/04 to 2006/07. These account for a total of 401 matches, which it will be convenient to cover in two volumes. Accordingly, this book includes scorecards for the 101 first-class matches played in 2003/04 and the 105 in 2004/05. Although the Tests played in India during these two seasons, along with a handful of domestic games, appeared in Wisden or some other recognized printed source, they are nevertheless included here so as to give a full picture of the Indian season as a whole.
