Well satistied with their day's work at Newnarket, the Triuity men spent the niglt at Aurora previous to engaging the club of that place. Their defeat in the oncounter mnay bu attributed rather to tho collapse of the batting than ce the strength of the oienmy's bowling, good as it was ; and young players should remember that it requires the endurnce of au old haud to dance all niglt and play all day oven for two successive matches. On the winninig side H. C. Seadding (of Orillia) hit well for the top score, and the cap- tain, after being missed on a ball skied to Campboll at long-stop, played a good innings. Their bowling %vas wcll kept up by Steven. son, and in tho tirst iniings by Tracy, Trinity feit the losa in al doli tiiments of the gamle of D. Howard, whose professional engage. ments necessitated his return to the city. J. S. Howard was unfortunately out l.b.w. both times. The wicket liero, as at New- narket, was excellent, but the long-stopping grouund r'ather queer, and Martin deserves great credit for lis good work foi' Trinity in that region.
