ACS International Cricket Year Book 2016

INTRODUCTION This book lists every cricketer who appeared in a First-Class, List A or Twenty20 match in the 2015 English season or in the 2014/15 season in other countries, thus the book includes every current major cricketer in the world. As so many players now appear in several different countries especially in Twenty20 cricket the layout has been revised for this edition so that all the players appear in one A to Z listing. The first line for each player gives the full name, date and place of birth and player styles where available, and a note of all the teams they have appeared for during the period under review. The lines of statistics are given firstly for the season for each country for each match type, followed by the career record for each match type. The match types are Test, First-Class (FC), One-Day Internationals (Int), List A (Lim), Twenty20 Internationals (I20T), Twenty20 (20T). The season lines are followed by the country abbreviation of where the matches were played, and the career lines followed by a season of debut. If a player's complete career record for a match type occurred in one country in the period under review then the season line is not repeated in the career section. In limited overs and Twenty20 matches the 5i column gives instances of exactly 4 wickets in an innings, and the 10m column gives instances of 5 or more wickets in an innings. There is also a section giving in similar format seasonal and career records for Women’s International matches. LIST OF MATCHES INCLUDED First-class matches used to compile the figures for this book are those noted in the ACS first-class match lists, published in five volumes and amended and updated periodically. Limited Overs matches used to compile the figures for this book are those included in List A. The ICC have adopted List A into their Classification of Official Cricket from 2006 but the ACS continues to assist on List A status - for details see http://acscricket.com/ListA/Description.html. The Australia v ICC World XI matches are included as Test and ODIs following the ICC ruling. The ECB ruled that the Glamorgan v Hampshire List A match played on 2nd August 2015 awarded to Hampshire because of the sub-standard pitch should be treated as void, and so none of the player performances in this match are included. The Association have reluctantly accepted this ruling despite it being against all precedent in matches called off for this reason and not restarted.
