The six teams were based on the traditional participants but each team had to have three squad players from elsewhere in the West Indies. The Combined Campuses and Colleges team was not admitted to the competition. The franchise names which have not been used here are Barbados Pride, Guyana Jaguars, Jamaica Scorpions, Leeward Islands Hurricanes, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force and Windward Islands Volcanoes.
