ABOUT THE AUTHOR Kit Bartlett was born in Beckenham in 1931 and is a joint founder member of the ACS. He has contributed to the ACS Journal over a number of years and has been a researcher at Colindale Newspaper Library and the Family Record Centre for numerous ACS publications. He was Cricket Statistician of the Year in 1993. He served on the committee from 1995 to 2006 and has been the editor for the Famous Cricketers Series since 1996. He has written the lives of Brian Close, Paul Gibb and Laurie Fishlock and been a joint author for John Wisden, Denis Compton, Tom Hayward, James Lillywhite, junior and Derek Underwood.
