ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jim Ledbetter was born in 1933 in Nottingham and after a lengthy career in education, has subsequently become involved in cricket writing and research. He was Treasurer of the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians between 1990 and 1999 and Chairman from 2002 to 2004. Since 1991 he has compiled eleven volumes on First-Class Cricket, A Complete Record between 1929 and 1939. He has produced two ACS books, Frank Tyson in the Famous Cricketer series and Trent Bridge Test Records 1899-1996 . His most recent book is 100 Nottinghamshire Greats published in 2003 by Tempus Publications Ltd.
