Grimmett, who was twelfth man in the second game, was brought into the third and final game against New South Wales, when W.W.Armstrong declared himself unavailable. He played no part in the first innings, both sides completing an innings apiece on the first day, with E.A.McDonald taking 8-42. Following a nought in the second, Grimmett was given only a mere five overs without any success. Own Team O M R W Opp Ct Total Total 10.
