In the Tests he scored 282 runs at an average of 35.25 and took ten wickets at 34.00. At Trent Bridge he hit 103, reaching his century off 99 balls, the second fifty taking a mere twenty-six. He hit three 6’s and fourteen 4’s. His best bowling was four for 50 in the English victory at Lord’s. In the Championship he bowled only 119.3 overs and took only twelve wickets. Included in these figures were the five for 38 he took against Leicestershire at Leicester, a match in which he also hit 152 with five 6’s and eighteen 4’s.
