Illness during the winter prevented him from getting a good start to the season and an injury at Leicester kept him out of six matches and hampered him for the rest of the season. The emergence of Tom Goddard as a lethal off-spinner meant that Parker was not as overworked as he had been in the past. He took five or more wickets in an innings twelve times and ten or more wickets in a match on four occasions. Gloucestershire won fifteen matches, more than any other county, and rose to fourth place in the Championship table. As a batsman, Parker scored 259 runs in all matches at an average of 11.77, helped by eleven not-out innings. He held five catches. Own Team O M R W Opp Ct Total Total 443.
