1927 Parker had another highly successful season in 1927 taking 183 wickets in the Championship at an average of 18.90, including sixteen five-wicket hauls and seven of ten wickets or more in a match. He took 9 for 46 against Northamptonshire at Northampton, fourteen for 96 in the match, and he also took nine wickets, for 103, against Somerset at Bristol. His match figures were 16 for 154. To show his partiality against Northamptonshire he took fifteen wickets for 173 runs in the return game at Gloucester. He bowled a lot of overs again, seven times bowling fifty overs or more in an innings and on four other occasions more than sixty.
