The MCC team was touring Australia this winter but a party of English cricketers, organised by Mr J.B.Joel and captained by L.H.Tennyson, toured South Africa playing five “Unofficial” Test Matches as well as provincial teams. Parker played in all the “Tests” without conspicuous success as he took only eleven wickets at an average of 18.90. In all first-class matches he took forty-four wickets at 16.47. He hit 51 not out in the first tour game against Western Province and, altogether, scored 191 runs at an average of 14.69. He took two catches. 43
