They won only one match out of twenty-two, and that by one wicket, and they lost seventeen to slump to the bottom of the Championship table. Some of the defeats were little short of massacres. There were nine defeats by an innings, two by more than three hundred runs, one by more than 200 runs and one by ten wickets. Amidst the carnage Parker took sixty-two wickets at an average of 31.59. His best figures were 7 for 79 against Nottinghamshire at Cheltenham, a match Gloucestershire still managed to lose by an innings and sixty-nine runs. As a batsman Parker made 334 runs at an average of 11.51 and he held ten catches. Own Team O M R W Opp Ct Total Total 127.
