In this exciting event he put in some good performances for New Zealand, taking important wickets (Gavaskar and Boycott) and nearly always returning economical figures during some hostile spells. However, in front of a crowd of 22,000 at Old Trafford New Zealand went out of the competition when England defeated them in the semi-final by just 9 runs. Own Team O M R W Opp Ct Total Total 37.
