Famous Cricketers No 77 - W.L.Murdoch

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Derek Carlaw spent much of his working life in sales and marketing, mainly in the pump industry and now works as a freelance technical journalist primarily in the fields of fluids handling and oil and chemical pollution. His interest in cricket began in 1939 and he now spends much of the summer watching county cricket. In his younger days he played for a wandering club of which he was co-founder. A compulsive book collector and history buff, his interest in cricket in the Victorian era is said by friends to amount to an obsession. For the past twenty years he has written feature articles, book reviews, obituaries etc for the Kent County Cricket Club Annual and is an occasional contributor to other publications. This is his second book in the Famous Cricketers series. A South Londoner by origins, he has lived in Canterbury since 1978.
