Famous Cricketers No 75 - Arthur Haygarth
Appendix II – Haygarth’s Writing and Research Haygarth was perhaps the greatest collector of cricket scores and historical information especially when bearing in mind the relative awkwardness of communications in his time. He supplied countless letters and items for newspapers and journals in particular The Sporting Life , Cricket: A Weekly Record of the Game and Bell’s Life where he used the pseudonyms “An Old Harrovian” and “HEW”. This is a brief listing of his more important published books and unpublished manuscripts with some bibliographical information. 1.
