He also prospered in two of his three other matches with 41 on June 6 for A to K against L to Z at Lord’s and 44 for once out against Rugby for M.C.C. on June 23-4 also at Lord’s. The latter game was Haygarth’s 100th appearance at that ground. These performances enabled Haygarth to achieve his highest average to date with 19.45 from 389 runs.
