It won only 3 of its 21 first-class matches and lost 5. It also lost the unofficial Test series 2-1. Ramadhin, like Worrell, had to leave after the second unofficial Test to take part in the West Indian series against England. He appeared in 11 games, captured 29 wickets (ave 27.62) and scored 74 runs (ave 10.57). In other words, he met with only moderate success on the whole and was completely futile (0/157) in the two unofficial Tests. The most that can be said is that his bowling was steady throughout. Only in his very last match, against Bengal at Calcutta, did Ramadhin appear menacing. He took 10/91 on that occasion. At Jamshedpur in December, he made his highest score to date when he struck a useful 27* against the Governor of Bihar’s XI. Own Team O M R W Opp Ct Total Total 65.
