Six of his partnerships established new records, four of which are still intact. Four of Goddard’s century partnerships occurred in Test cricket. The first of these was with Weekes against India at New Delhi in 1948/49 and the last with ‘Collie’ Smith at Nottingham in 1957. The others were with Atkinson and Gomez. 38
