behind Noblet who only took two wickets. He made a century at Sydney in the Second Test adding 235 with Hassett to take Australia from 106-3 to 341-4. On two occasions he destroyed the West Indian batting taking 5-60 at Melbourne in the Fourth Test and 5-26 at Sydney in the Fifth. Miller, Lindwall and Johnston took sixty four West Indian wickets between them. Only once did the tourists manage to top 300 against them. Miller also took four wickets in each innings in the New South Wales victory over the West Indians in November. He only played in four Shield games scoring two fifties and taking only four wickets.
