Although his batting was consistent it was also quite ordinary and he made just the one century, 111 against Sussex at Hove. For the first time in his career Rhodes failed to take one hundred wickets. He had more bad days than good but had a marvellous match against Surrey at Bradford. Apart from innings of 2 and 88 not out, the second quite a fine effort, he also took 11-72. An amazing analysis against Derbyshire at Bradford gave him cause for celebration. In 4.4 overs he took 5 wickets for 5 runs as Yorkshire dismissed their opponents for 75 and 62, winning by an innings and 111 runs. Own Team O M R W Opp Ct Total Total 473.
