The next game against Somerset at Taunton gave him 12-182 (5-115 & 6-67) and saw Sammy Woods dismissed twice and his 13-96 against Leicestershire at Leicester gave him both C.J.B.Wood and A.E.Knight ‘doubles’. Against Gloucestershire in the return match at Hull he dismissed Jessop twice more in taking 12-86 in 49.2 overs.
