Although he only made one century, 100 against Somerset at Weston-super-Mare, he was quite consistent otherwise and just failed to do the ‘double’ in all Yorkshire matches. With the ball he took ten wickets in a match twice, the best innings analysis being 7-15 against Gloucestershire at Bristol. It would be fair to say that he was not so formidable to the best of batsmen but against all others he quite held his own. Own Team O M R W Opp Ct Total Total 869.
