1967 There was no tour in the winter and Barrington played golf and restricted acceptance of invitations to only small social gatherings. In May he hit six half-centuries in seven innings and captained Surrey to an eight wicket victory over the Indian touring team. In the three match series against India, all matches were won and Barrington scored three fifties. For Surrey against Yorkshire he scored 158 and took 5 for 51, his best ever Championship bowling figures.
