ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jerry Lodge , a Surrey C.C.C. member, is an active participant of the Surrey Statistics Group. He is involved in statistical research of Surrey cricket and cricketers and produces figures for the Yearbook. This is his third book in the “Famous Cricketers” series, the earlier ones being T.G.Evans and Sir Alec V. Bedser. He enjoys an active retirement after a lifetime in insurance working for a leading firm of international brokers. Jerry is also on the Committee of the A.C.S.
