He naturally took part in the two matches arranged by the WICBC to celebrate the West Indian triumph over England. His two teams won their games at Kingston but his own contributions were not spectacular. Even so, in his 99th match (during his innings of 27 against Conrad Hunte’s XI), he was finally able to exceed 1,500 runs in first-class cricket. Hall enjoyed a very successful match against British Guiana in February when he claimed 8/135 in one of his finest efforts on behalf of Barbados.
