Both the Victorian and New South Wales teams were radically changed for the return game. A five day match finished in Sydney and another game commenced the next day in Melbourne. Three Victorians (including Woodfull) were not selected for the second game after scoring centuries in the first. In Woodfull’s case, he had made 81 and 120*. NSW lost the first game after scoring 614 in their first innings. Rock scored 235 and 51 for NSW only to be dropped! Woodfull scored at least 50 in every game as Victoria, once again, won the Sheffield Shield. Woodfull scored 166 runs at 53.70 in District cricket to finish fifth in the VCA averages.
