Famous Cricketers No 56 - Laurence Barnard Fishlock

1935 Fishlock gained a place in the Surrey first team at the beginning of the season and was an immediate success. He played in all his county’s first-class matches until he was injured in a road accident in late August. In hitting his first first-class century, he became the first left-handed batsman to accomplish this feat for Surrey in the County Championship and only the third in all matches. He scored three centuries and nine fifties in making nearly 1500 runs – a great improvement on his previous record. Own Team O M R W Opp Ct Total Total 18.
