1930 Not such a spectacular season for Geary. He played in just the one Test against Australia at Headingley, without success. Despite a much reduced workload, he still took 101 wickets. His best performance with the ball was twelve wickets, six in each innings, against Northamptonshire, conceding 78 runs from 61 overs. He hit a not out 112 for Leicestershire against Oxford University, followed by 99 against Cambridge. The Universities then were not the cannon fodder that they have become.
