He registered his first, and highest, century against Kent at Aylestone Road. His 122 was half the Leicestershire total, and also featured a last wicket stand of 96 with Alec Skelding. His best bowling performance was seven for 24 against Glamorgan at Leicester, with eleven wickets in the match. This was bettered in the return at Cardiff when he took thirteen for 98.
