Despite missing matches through injury, he again took a hundred wickets. Among some good performances, his best was seven for 45 off 45 overs against Derbyshire at Aylestone Road. His batting improved immensely, almost doubling his previous best total in a season, with six half-centuries, the highest being a career best to date of 79 against Nottinghamshire. The match against Warwickshire in July was his Benefit Match. 24
