Batting Dismissals Not surprisingly, with a man who cannot be classed as a batsman and had a long career, Shepherd was dismissed most often by a host of famous names. However, another pattern emerges - regular dismissals by “rubbish” leg spinners. The names Keith Fletcher, John Hampshire, Brian Booth, Raman Subba Row and others who bowled inaccurately out of the back of the hand feature regularly in the dismissal columns.
