1962 1962 was a bad year for Glamorgan, and they ended up 14th in the table. Shepherd had 114 wickets at 23.07, beaten in both average and aggregate by skipper Ossie Wheatley, who had 133 wickets for the county. Shepherd’s 100 wickets in a season was the seventh time he had reached that landmark, a county record.
