In the final innings of the match Harvey scored 112 in 133 minutes with sixteen fours adding 126 for the second wicket with G.B.Stevens (46); this was his fifty-fourth century taking him ahead of W.Bardsley and only D.G.Bradman (117) and A.L.Hassett (59) remained above him in the list of Australian centurions.
