Famous Cricketers No 4 - F.E.Woolley

1933 Unwisely playing on under the effects of a heavy chill, Woolley began the season with the poorest period of form of his whole career. After taking a few weeks convalescence, he returned to form with 198 against Somerset in his best vein. Thereafter there were examples of Woolley at his best but overall he was well below his previous standard and was only fifth in the Kent Championship averages.
