INTRODUCTION TO THE SECOND EDITION When this volume in the Famous Cricketers' Series appeared, it was the first to feature a player who bowled. Subsequent volumes have set what is now the accepted style for bowlers. The initial volume now being out of print, it was thus decided to revise this publication bringing it up to the consistency of this style.
